While major cities in North India, such as Delhi and Chandigarh, are choking under worsening air quality crises, cities like Chamarajanagar, Aizawl, Thrissur, and Bagalkot recorded some of the cleanest air. Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar leads a group of cities where air quality remains notably clean.

Air quality in several cities across India shows variation but remains mostly within the “good” or “satisfactory” categories. Aizawl, Thrissur, Bagalkot, and Chamarajanagar recorded “good” air quality, with AQI levels ranging from 44 to 50. Nagaon, Guwahati, and Ramanathapuram fell under the “satisfactory” category, with AQI levels between 56 and 82.
