The stock market witnessed a brief respite on Wednesday as they closed higher, fuelled by a rise in IT sector stocks.Sensex closed 200 points higher while Nifty added nearly 50 points at closing.

In todays trading session, stocks such as Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Infosys, Axis Bank, HDFC Life, and others will be in focus due to key news and third-quarter earnings updates. Heres a detailed look at the major stocks to watch:

Q3 RESULTS

Investors will closely watch RIL, Infosys, Axis Bank, and LTIMindtree as these companies are scheduled to announce their third-quarter earnings today. Their performance could set the tone for the broader market.

L&T TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

L&T Technology Services reported a 4% year-on-year (YoY) drop in consolidated net profit to Rs 322 crore for the third quarter. However, its revenue from operations grew 9%, reaching Rs 2,653 crore during the same period.

HDFC LIFE

HDFC Life showcased strong performance in the third quarter, with significant growth across key metrics. Its profit rose 15% for the nine months ended December 2024, and the company recorded robust growth in the value of new business.

WELSPUN CORP

Welspun Corp signed an agreement with Saudi Aramco to set up a Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) line pipe manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. This move is expected to enhance Welspun’s global presence and manufacturing capabilities.

HERO MOTOCORP

Hero MotoCorp stated it is not overly concerned about slowing demand in urban markets, as consumption in these areas had already grown disproportionately after the pandemic. The company remains optimistic about its growth prospects.

SHRIRAM HOUSING

Shriram Housing, now rebranded as Truhome Finance, is planning to expand its business by approximately 30% in FY26. This growth plan is supported by significant capital infusion from its owner, Warburg Pincus.

SWIGGY

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has approved the incorporation of Swiggy Sports Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Swiggy. This marks a new strategic direction for the food and grocery delivery giant.

IRFC

Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) signed a lease agreement with NTPC for eight BOBR rakes worth Rs 250 crore. This agreement strengthens IRFCs portfolio in the railway sector.

CEAT

CEAT reported a net profit of Rs 97 crore in the third quarter. Revenue from operations during the same period stood at Rs 3,300 crore.

GAIL

GAIL finalised a settlement agreement with SEFE Marketing and Trading Singapore Pte. Under the agreement, SEFE will pay $285 million in settlement to GAIL, marking the resolution of a significant financial dispute.

AZAD ENGINEERING

Azad Engineering secured a $112 million (approximately Rs 960 crore) contract from GE Vernova International LLC. This contract reflects the growing capabilities of Indian engineering firms in the global market.

HAPPIEST MINDS

Happiest Minds has partnered with Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam to deploy an innovative Generative AI-based conversational interface. This collaboration highlights the companys focus on cutting-edge technology solutions.
