Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and former Jaipur princess Diya Kumari accused historians and the British of distorting the history of the Rajputs and their rulers, calling for a renewed effort to present accurate accounts to future generations.

Kumari said that it is important to preserve authentic narratives.

“We need to share the true history of our ancestors with the next generation. Over the years, the version promoted by the British and politically motivated historians has dominated. It’s time to tell the actual story,” she said.

Taking to X, Kumari called upon the people to contribute to building a prosperous and developed Rajasthan as a civilised society.
