Nissan India has opened bookings for the upcoming Magnite facelift. While the updated avatar of the sub-4-metre compact SUV will be launched on October 4, its deliveries will commence a day later on October 5.
The Nissan Magnite facelift is expected to get a new face with a redesigned grille and fresh headlamps. The L-shaped DRLs are expected to be carried forward. At the rear, you will see new LED taillamps. We are also expecting new set of alloys for the vehicle.
Nissan has already teased the cabin of the Magnite facelift. There is a new dual-tone layout. However, the centre console seems to have been carried over from the pre-facelift model. The updated model will have touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, digital instrument console and multi-function steering wheel.
The carmaker has claimed that the Nissan Magnite facelift
will have more than 20 first-in-segment and best-in-segment features. There will be a new air purifier, capable of turning 400 AQI into 30 AQI in just 20 minutes. Besides, there will be over 55 active and passive safety features.
We expect the Magnite facelift to have same powertrain options as before. There will be two engine choices — B4D 1.0-litre Naturally-Aspirated petrol (72PS and 96Nm) and HRAO 1.0-litre Turbo petrol (100PS and 160Nm/152Nm). The B4D 1.0-litre unit will have 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT options, while the HRAO 1.0-litre unit will get 5-speed MT and CVT options.
While the outgoing model is priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom), we expect the Nissan Magnite facelift price to be in the range of Rs 6.15 lakh to Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Nissan Magnite facelift will take on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch.
