IIIT Director Recruitment 2024: Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
The appointed Director will act as both the academic and administrative leader of the assigned IIIT campus, bringing strong skills in administration, teaching, and research. Applicants must have a proven record in PhD-level research guidance and at least seven years of experience as a Professor in a recognized educational institution. A PhD in a relevant field is required, with preference given to candidates below the age of 60. For exceptional candidates, age and experience requirements may be relaxed.
IIIT Director Recruitment 2024: Compensation Details
This role offers a fixed monthly salary of ₹2,10,000 in line with the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with a Special Allowance of ₹11,250 and additional allowances as per institute norms.
IIIT Director Recruitment 2024: Application and Selection Process
These IIITs are autonomous institutions governed by a partnership between the Central Government, state governments, and industry participants. Candidates will be selected by a Search-cum-Selection Committee, which will review both direct applications and nominations from prominent figures in academia and administration.
