Karnataka Delays NMMS Exam to January 5, 2025

Postponement of NMMS Examination: The Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council (K.S.Q.A.A.C.) issued a circular announcing the postponement of the 2024-25 National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination. Originally scheduled for December 8, 2024, the examination will now take place on January 5, 2025. This decision follows unforeseen circumstances affecting the initial examination schedule.
New Examination Date and Schedule
The postponed NMMS Examination will be held on January 5, 2025 (Sunday). The detailed schedule for the two papers is as follows:

Paper No.
Subject
Date
Time
Paper-1 Mental Ability Test (MAT) January 5, 2025 10:30 am – 12:00 noon (90 mins)
Paper-2 Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) January 5, 2025 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm (90 mins)

An additional 30 minutes will be provided to students with disabilities for both papers.
District-Wide Awareness
The K.S.Q.A.A.C. has urged all districts, taluks, and schools to widely publicise this change to ensure students are aware of the new examination date. Schools have been instructed to take the necessary actions to help students adequately prepare for the examination. This decision highlights the importance of proper coordination and communication within educational institutions.
All candidates and educational stakeholders are advised to make a note of the revised date and prepare accordingly. This adjustment aims to ensure a smoother and more organised examination process for all involved.
