Honda Cars India today launched the Honda Amaze 2024 at a starting price of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The range-topping variant is available for Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The Amaze is now the most affordable car in the country offering advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) – Honda Sensing.
Every Honda model in India, be it the City mid-size sedan or the Elevate mid-size SUV or the new Amaze compact sedan, offers ADAS. Honda is the only carmaker in India now to have a complete ADAS-equipped portfolio.
The 2024 Amaze is the third generation avatar of the compact sedan. While the first generation model entered the market in April 2013, the second generation came in May 2018. Till now, the car has sold almost 5.80 lakh units. Honda claimed that the Amaze contributes 40% to its overall sales in India.
While the new Amaze has come with significant upgrades, the powertrain has remained same. However, refinements have been made for a better driving experience. At the heart of the car is the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, which develops 90PS of maximum power and 110Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include 5-speed MT and CVT automatic.
The 2024 Honda Amaze mileage is claimed to be 19.46kmpl for the CVT option and 18.65kmpl for the MT option.
