Game Changer box office collection Day 5: Ram Charan’s film mints Rs 100 crore in India

Ram Charan and director Shankar’s Game Changer is performing moderately well at the box office worldwide. Despite mixed reviews, the political thriller collected Rs 100 crore nett at the domestic box office. On Sankranti, the film added yet another Rs 10 crore to its purse on Sankranti. Game Changer released in theatres on January 10.

Director Shankar’s Game Changer was released in three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi – amid massive anticipation. Since the first day, the film has been receiving mixed responses.

According to tracking website, Sacnilk, Game Changer earned Rs 10 crore nett at the domestic box office. The Day 5 collection is slightly higher than Day 4 numbers. In five days, the political thriller minted Rs 106.15 crore nett in India.

  • Day 2: Rs 21.6 crore
  • Day 3: Rs 15.9 crore
  • Day 4: Rs 7.65 crore

With Sankranti holiday on January 14, Game Changer witnessed an incline in numbers. The collection could see an upward trend until Sunday because of the extended holiday period. On January 14, the Telugu version had an overall occupancy of 36.15 per cent in India.

Game Changer is directed by director Shankar and written by Karthik Subbaraj. The political thriller, which deals with corruption and illegal mining, among other social issues, features Ram Charan in two roles – as father Appanna and son, Ram Nandan. Apart from Charan, the film features Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Sunil, Anjali, Naveen Chandra and several others in pivotal roles.

The film is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations on a mammoth budget of Rs 450 crore.
