British band Coldplay is making a much-anticipated return to India after nine years, set to perform at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, January 18, and Sunday, January 19, 2025. This announcement was made via a teaser from BookMyShow Live.
The concert is part of Coldplay’s globally successful Music of the Spheres World Tour. The band, featuring lead vocalist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion, last performed in India in 2016 during the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.

Tickets for the concert go on sale today, September 22, at 12 PM IST through BookMyShow. Prices range from Rs 2,500 to Rs 12,500, and a maximum of eight tickets can be purchased per transaction.
Please note that there is no pre-sale for bank customers, and tickets can only be bought through BookMyShow, the official partner. It’s advised to avoid purchasing from unauthorised third-party sellers to steer clear of counterfeit tickets.

This initial sale will be the only round of tickets available, but Coldplay will offer ‘Infinity Tickets’ on November 22, 2024, priced at approximately Rs 2,000. These tickets must be bought in pairs, with adjacent seating. Exact locations will be disclosed only when the tickets are picked up at the box office on the day of the concert.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CONCERT ATTENDEES
- Tickets must be purchased online from BookMyShow; they won’t be sold at the venue.
- Children aged five and above require a valid ticket and must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder (18+).
- The concert will last approximately four hours.
- Re-entry is not allowed once the show starts.
- Attendees will receive an LED wristband that lights up in sync with the music—no activation needed! Just wear it and enjoy it, but remember to return it before leaving.
- Premium packages may include enhanced food and beverage options, elevated viewing areas, dedicated entry lanes, restrooms, parking, and a drop-off zone.
- The DY Patil Stadium is not air-conditioned, but hospitality package holders will have access to air-conditioned pre-function areas.
- Outside food is prohibited.
