The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Bihar has extended the registration deadline for the National Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) 2025 exam till December 7, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who have not registered yet can visit the official website, scert.bihar.gov.in to submit the applications. Previously, the Bihar NMMS 2025 application deadline was on December 1, 2024. As per the schedule, the examination will be conducted on January 19, 2025. According to the official schedule the provisional answer key will be released on January 25, 2025 and last date to raise objections on the answer key is January 31, 2025.
To qualify for the NMMS scholarship in 2025, students must meet several eligibility criteria. Firstly, applicants should be enrolled in Class 8 for the 2024-2025 academic year. Additionally, students need to have secured a minimum of 55% in their Class VII exams, although students from SC/ST categories only need to achieve 50%. Another requirement is that the combined annual income of both parents must not exceed Rs. 3.5 lakh. It is also important to note that students enrolled in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Sainik schools, and private institutions are not eligible for this scholarship.

- On the homepage, select the “NMMSS Online Application Academic Year 2024-25” option.
- You will be directed to a page with registration and login options. Choose the registration option to start.
- Fill in all required details accurately and submit the form.
- After registration, you will receive a unique ID and password for future logins.
- Use these credentials to log in and continue with the application process.
- Complete the application form and upload any necessary documents as instructed.
- After submitting your application, download and save the receipt for your records.
