A fintech entrepreneur shared how his landlord turned a tech adviser for him in a post on X which has gone viral.

The post, shared by Indian Institute of Management (IM) Ahmedabad graduate and fintech startup founder Vetri Venthan, featured a screenshot of the conversation between him and the landlord, which he described as his contribution to a “peak Bengaluru” moment.

Vetri, who is building a fintech platform according to his LinkedIn bio, shared that his landlord, a Solution Architect at Intel, has taken a keen interest in his startups.

The landlord now advises on the product’s architecture and even introduces him to corporate contacts – all over casual meetups at cafes.

“Bengaluru is the only city where your landlord also becomes a tech advisor for your startup. My landlord (Solutions Architect at Intel) loved our product and is giving us intros to corporations/advising us on our architecture while meeting us at cafes,” Vetri said as he shared the screenshot of his conversation with his landlord in the now-viral post.

Take a look at the post here:

Vetri’s post was picked up by the X handle of Peak Bengaluru, and it wasn’t long before the comments section turned into a playground of witty suggestions.

A user said, “Ask him to waive the 11-month deposit, call it an investment, and give him sweat equity.” Vetri, not missing a beat, replied, “Lol, that’s going to be my next ask in the catchup.”

In a city where landlords come with corporate credentials, one thing is for certain: Bengaluru residents know how to keep things interesting.
