India made as many as three changes to their playing XI for the second Test against Australia in Adelaide. Captain Rohit Sharma returned to action in style, winning the toss and opting to bat on a gloomy afternoon at the Adelaide Oval in the pink-ball Test. As expected, Shubman Gill returned to action after missing the first Test due to a fractured thumb.
On the other hand, India also brought back R Ashwin, who replaced Washington Sundar in the XI. India retained their three-man pace attack, including Harshit Rana, and their seam-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.
