An animal-rescuer from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur has made the internet shiver after a video of her fearlessly handling a monitor lizard with her bare hands during a rescue mission went viral.
Ajita Pandey was alerted about a monitor lizard that had accidentally fallen into a water tank at a house. Without hesitation, she rushed to the scene to help.
Using a rod, she managed to catch the reptile and firmly held its tail with her bare hands. Despite the lizard attempting to attack her twice, she remained calm and undeterred, completing the rescue with remarkable courage.
This video has gone viral with over 41 million views.
Several viewers applauded Pandey for heroically rescuing the monitor lizard but also advised her to wear safety gear.
Pandey also went viral earlier this year after catching a snake with her bare hands at an office in Bilaspur.
