In a comparative analysis of the two-year postgraduate programs at IIM Lucknow and IIM Mumbai from the academic years 2020-21 to 2022-23, both institutions have shown steady growth in terms of graduate placement and median salary packages. IIM Lucknow saw a consistent increase in the number of students graduating on time, rising from 507 in 2020-21 to 591 in 2022-23. Similarly, the median salary offered to graduates increased from Rs. 23.5 lakh in 2020-21 to Rs. 30 lakh in 2022-23.
On the other hand, IIM Mumbai, though starting with a slightly higher number of graduates (519 in 2020-21), experienced a slight dip in 2022-23, with 490 students graduating on time. However, the median salary at IIM Mumbai has shown more significant growth, climbing from Rs. 25.8 lakh in 2020-21 to Rs. 32 lakh in 2022-23, consistently outpacing IIM Lucknow’s figures in terms of salary offers.
