Jasprit Bumrah achieved a new high on the eve of the Boxing Day Test, emulating R Ashwin’s feat for the joint-highest rating points for an Indian in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for men’s Test bowlers. Bumrah extended his lead at the top of the ICC rankings amidst his sensational performances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series in Australia.
After picking up nine wickets in the third Test in Brisbane, Jasprit Bumrah got a boost of 14 points. With 904 rating points, Bumrah emulated R Ashwin’s peak tally from December 2016.
