A trainee cop was killed on Sunday by a bullet wound in the Police Training Centre (PTC) Manigam in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.
Speaking with India Today TV, a police officer said that the trainee was hit by a bullet purportedly fired from the sentry’s rifle at the Police Training Centre.
Probe to ascertain the circumstances that led to the death of the trainee cop is underway.
The dead trainee was undergoing the Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC) at Manigam Police Training School.
