Donald Trump Jr., the eldest of US President-elect Donald Trump’s five children, was spotted getting intimate with Florida-based socialite Bettina Anderson following his alleged split with fiance Kimberly Guilfoyle, who has been nominated as the next American envoy to Greece, media reports said.
Trump Jr. (46) and Guilfoyle (55), a former Fox News host, had been dating since 2018 and got engaged in 2020. Rumours of their split surfaced after he was photographed having lunch with Anderson, a 38-year-old model, influencer and philanthropist from Palm Beach, in September this year.
According to a New York Post report citing Page 6 tabloid, a source said that Trump Jr. and Anderson have been together for the past few months and are “super cute and happy together”.
There was, however, no official confirmation from either of the two on the development.
The source also said that his split with Guilfoyle, who was previously married to Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom, came after a “rocky” year and the two had not been getting along, engaging in public arguments, including one at Mar-a-Lago, the President-elect’s private residence in Florida.
Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle campaigned extensively for Donald Trump this year. The couple also addressed the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July, during which Donald Trump was officially nominated as the party’s presidential candidate.
On Tuesday, Donald Trump announced that he had picked Guilfoyle as the next US Ambassador to Greece and called her a “close friend and ally” for many years.
On her part, Guilfoyle said she was honoured to accept the President-elect’s nomination.
“As Ambassador, I look forward to delivering on the Trump agenda, supporting our Greek allies, and ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity,” he tweeted.
WHO IS BETTINA ANDERSON
Bettina Anderson comes from a wealthy family. Her father, Harry Loy Anderson Jr., was known for becoming the youngest president of Worth Avenue National Bank at 26. He died in 2013.
Meanwhile, her mother, Inger (74), is also a socialite.
Bettina currently resides in $860,000 three-bed townhouse in West Palm Beach, according to the Daily Mail.
She co-founded Paradise Fund, a charity organisation, that aims to protect the environment and at-risk citizens.
Bettina is said to be friends with Trump Jr.’s former wife Vanessa Trump, as well as his step-sister Tiffany Trump.
